Among the most well-known figures registered from history books included the legendary gamblers of the Wild West. Even if they were seen in the media, films or books, they were often shown to be jaunty, tall, formal Southern men who all contributed a value of dignity and a remarkable attitude. Actually, most of the pro gamblers were liars and cheats who made a profit more from tricks than winning honestly at poker. Poker is not simply a game for male Americans. Most pro gamblers came from various places that involved several legendary women gamblers in their ranks.
Even from this moment gambling is still an interesting figure, while casinos and online games took over the old saloon, skilled gamblers, both men and women, from that time and also today all have the plan of getting that large win. The heyday of American gambling lasted from 1850-1910, and was the best leisure activity and the main kind of enjoyment in each city. When Eleanor Dumont, a wonderful French lady in her middle twenties first opened the gates to her own gambling hall in 1854, lots of men who were not familiar with looking at a lady so beautiful on the gambling tables gathered to her spot, and soon the business had made a name for a European class which was often unseen in a playing house. There were no guarantee, no flashy talks, no dispute, no cigarettes or each of the bad actions that was usually relevant with saloons or other gaming places. Lots of gamblers thought it was easier to lose Madame Moustache rather than winning towards anybody, because along with her fashion and quality, if a gambler lost in a game they are treated to a free glass of champagne.
In the last years she moved to several places to create a gambling place wherever she moved and soon Blackjack was among the popular card games of some expert gamblers. Two decades shortly passed, and with some luck Madame Dumont had an issue, in September 1879, greatly in debt, she owed $300 from a friend hoping to win a game that was started from the town of Bodie. However she lost her whole bankroll, and on September 8th her body was discovered several miles from town and a poison was found on her hand.
Madame Mustache and other well-known women gamblers of the wild west, such as Poker Alice, Kitty LeRoy and Calamity Jane are just some of the women who created their mark on the gambling tables and were recognized by some of the male expert gamblers, and even if they are gone, they are always valued by every player who is fascinated with the history of the game.
